During her tenure as accessories editor at Vogue UK, Tamara Mellon
became increasingly aware of the strong demand for glamorous but
wearable shoes. With the concept for a luxury accessories business
in mind, she approached Jimmy Choo, an exceptional couture shoe
maker in London’s East End. The two partnered to develop a
ready-to-wear line, which experienced unprecedented success; the
line has been lauded by celebrities and editors alike. Today, the
company operates 60 branded stores and produces shoes, handbags,
small leather goods, and sunglasses. The first-ever eyewear
collection features innovative and fresh designs that follow the
brand’s classic elegance, beauty and sexiness.
